Professional Amazon FBA Prep Services for U.S. Sellers
Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) is a shipping and storage service offered by Amazon to all their vendor partners. All eCommerce businesses selling on Amazon use these fulfillment services to store and ship their products. However, to comply with FBA norms, the product must be packaged and labeled differently according to the product category and origin destination. At 3PL Business, we are familiar with FNSKU requirements and know how to prepare packages that meet Amazon FBA prep requirements. Our FBA prep services are designed to help clients save on packaging efforts, time, and costs. Contact us today to learn more about our Amazon FBA prep requirements!

What Are Amazon FBA Preparation Services?
Amazon FBA preparation services allow businesses to list and sell their products on their portal. In addition, they allow businesses to list and sell their products across categories. The products listed on the portal must be packaged and labeled according to Amazon FBA and shipped to their fulfillment centers. Amazon takes care of everything related to sale, shipping, refunds, and customer service when the product reaches their fulfillment center. This helps businesses to serve their customers worldwide.
How 3PL Business Helps Businesses with Amazon FBA Preparation Services?
Most businesses use Amazon FBA to enter new markets and widen their customer base. FAQs
What's the difference between FBA and using a 3PL like you?
While Amazon FBA offers direct marketplace integration, a 3PL service provides more flexibility, personalized support, custom packaging options, and potentially lower costs for many sellers, plus the ability to fulfill orders across multiple sales channels from a single inventory pool. Some sellers use both — FBA for their core catalogue, and us for overflow, special packaging, or multi-channel needs.
Can you support Seller Fulfilled Prime (SFP)?
Yes. SFP has strict delivery performance requirements, and we’re set up to meet them. Advanced 3PL software makes it easy to create inbound work orders, create discounted parcel shipping labels for inbounds, or schedule LTL or FTL pickups — all of which are part of what we do for SFP sellers.
What causes Amazon chargebacks, and how do you prevent them?
Chargebacks commonly come from late confirmations, weak tracking scans, labelling mismatches, and inventory inaccuracies. Prevention requires controlled label reprints, scan-rate monitoring, verified receiving, and daily exception reporting with clear owners. We have systems in place for all of that — it’s not something you’ll need to chase us about.
What happens with inventory when it first arrives at your warehouse?
Before sending Amazon inventory to a 3PL, SKU-to-barcode mapping, receiving rules, and label controls all need to be verified. We handle all of this as part of our standard receiving process — items are counted, verified, and assigned to locations before being marked as available.
We're currently using FBA. Can you help us transition to a 3PL?
Absolutely. We provide full transition support — inventory transfer management, system integration, and strategic advice to ensure business continuity and maintain your seller performance metrics during the switch. We plan transitions carefully so you don’t lose sales or momentum in the process.
How strict are Amazon's packaging and labelling requirements?
Very strict. Labels have to be in the right place, bags have to be sealed properly, and everything needs to be Amazon-compliant down to the last polybag. If any of that’s skipped or done wrong, Amazon might reject the shipment — or worse, charge you fees. This is exactly why having a team that knows these requirements cold is so valuable.
Can you handle FBA shipments with pallet requirements?
Yes. Amazon typically requires shipments to arrive on 48″ x 40″ wooden pallets — plastic pallets aren’t accepted, and goods palletized in China must include a fumigation certificate. We’re familiar with all of these requirements and handle them as part of our standard FBA Prep process.
What if my products have special prep needs — kitting, bundling, or custom packaging?
That’s squarely in our wheelhouse. We offer kitting and assembly, custom inserts, branded packaging, and product bundling as part of our value-added services. Just walk us through your requirements during onboarding and we’ll build a process around them.
What if Amazon changes their requirements? Will my fulfillment be disrupted?
Amazon frequently updates its fulfillment and compliance requirements — and staying current with those changes is exactly what you’re hiring us to do. When Amazon updates something, we adapt internally and operationally. You won’t need to chase those changes yourself.
Can I see my inventory levels in real time?
Yes. Our system provides real-time visibility into inventory levels across all fulfillment channels, helping you make data-driven decisions to manage stock, forecast demand, and prevent stockouts. You’ll never be left guessing how much product you have on hand.
Do you manage Amazon returns?
Yes. We receive returned items, inspect them, and either restock or dispose of them according to your instructions. We’ll work with you upfront to define how you want each return scenario handled — so nothing falls through the cracks.
What happens to returned items that are still sellable?
We inspect them, determine their condition, and follow whatever restocking rules you’ve set. Items that pass inspection go back into available inventory. Damaged or unsellable units are handled according to your preferences — whether that means disposal, return to you, or donation.
